ReSys - Case Studies

CASE STUDY: ReSys replacing five different systems (pdf)

The Challenge:

The client had five different systems to operate different parts of their reinsurance data. The systems
included one for assumed business, one for ceded business , a separate loss management system and one
system to manage the ibnr's. Additionally the client had one system to manage two smaller portfolio's
outside their main assumed system.

This all resulted in delayed processing, cumbersome reporting and difficulties in getting a constant, clear
overview of the overall situation not to speak about oversized operating costs.

CASE STUDY: ReSys replacing several SICS systems - in total eight portfolios (pdf)

The Challenge:

The client had two legal entities comprising eight portfolios which were running in several SICS Classic systems. All of the eight portfolios had gone through one or more conversions.

While the different portfolios had some common elements, each one also had its individual features, e.g. use of different codes meaning the same thing and/or use of the same codes for a different purpose.

The portfolios had no common, single data structure as each database had been modified and altered over the years to cope with different kinds of business.

The portfolios were all of different sizes, totaling more than 180,000+ underwriting years, both inwards and outwards and containing all lines and types of business.
